“Oh, the unspeakable greatness of that exchange,—the Sinless One is condemned, and he who is guilty goes free; the Blessing bears the curse, and the cursed is brought into blessing; the Life dies, and the dead live; the Glory is whelmed in darkness, and he who knew nothing but confusion of face is clothed with glory.”

Jonah's ark

"Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before Me." (Jon. 1:1,2).

No, this post isn't about Joan of Arc. It's actually about Zeny Burdick. But, why Jonah's ark? His ark was a big fish, which Jesus called a whale. The Lord prepared that fish especially for catching Jonah, holding him watertight for three days, and giving the prophet something to think about. It was a time-out. And I have been through something like that while awaiting the Latter Rain when the message will be given that Babylon's sins have reached up to heaven and God has remembered her iniquities.

So, Jonah was God's designated representative for a special mission. No one else qualified. No one else had the peace of God, which would act as armor when the dangers would most assuredly arise. Jonah's peace passed all understanding. It was incomprehensible. Like his Master, Jonah could sleep soundly in the midst of chaos. Jonah's freight liner cannot compare to modern freighters, but it was no dingy. It was big, yet it was being thrown around on the Mediterranean Sea.

The Med can create some nasty storms. It has sunk a lot of ships. But, like Jesus Jonah was "fast asleep". The Hebrew for "sleep" is radam, "deep sleep". Have you ever awaken and be unable to tell where you are? Like the brain is completely turned off? That kind of deep sleep is what Jonah had. He was holy, but not from an arbitrary endowal from God. He loved the laws of God, and was obedient to them. As it is written, "Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (2Pet. 1:21).

But what is the Holy Ghost? It is...

"... the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." (Rom. 5:5).

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body." (Col. 3:15).

As Paul explains it, the Spirit, which rules the heart of all who trusts the Son of God, is the same gift that is spread all over the heart. The Spirit is the presence and everlasting life of the eternal, self-existent One, the Life-giving Spirit, God the Father through the Spirit of His Son.

"Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the truth, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ." (1Pet. 1:2).

"And the very God of peace sanctify you." (1Thess. 5:5).

We are sanctified by God the Father through His peace, for an anchor-like peace in our hearts.

"And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy Thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35).

The above Hebraism parallels the Holy Ghost with the power of the Most High God. Miriam was flooded with peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. In that gigantic peace from above, which the world can't give, the Father fertilized Miriam's egg and then He put the Spirit of His Son into her zygote. She wasn't immaculate because the Spirit of his Father could keep His Son from falling. Thus, Jesus had infinite peace from His Father's bosom, which was the vehicle to His remaining sinless. Jesus was sinless because of His infinitely immaculate divine Father, not because of His sinful and corruptible, though sanctified and greatly peaceful mother.

Jonah had obedience, and that was the source of God's peace. He was justified, reconciled with God. Therefore, he knew Jesus' same gigantic peace of God, deep peace in the worst of storms. Jesus taught His disciples, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.... If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him." (John 14:15,23).

This was the condition of all the prophets. And Jonah's peace from the presence of the Father and the Son gave him words to speak and the power to deliver them. But, because he left the Father and Son, he must be taught how to obey more fully through an outside source.

"Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights." (Jon. 1:17).

Looking back I can see that the Lord gave me special spiritual advantages to prepare me for a life of service for Him. But, because He had prospered my family and country, so that life was relatively good, I quickly forgot all of His great works of mercy on my behalf in my formative years. And when His blessings seemed to pass, I decided to do like Peter after his Messiah-best friend, was crucified and buried. "There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing." (John 21:2,3).

He had spent three and a half years walking with the Lord of heaven and Prince of Peace. Then, the three year ministry with Jesus of Nazareth abruptly ended in total disappointment, all the exciting spiritual training was past, and Peter decided to not pursue it further. He was going back to living living a regular life.

I did something similar. For a beautiful year and a half with an amazing young man from Southern Missionary College, took me under his wing, showered love and Christian training on me, for which the Lord had put a yearning in my heart. Then Richard left.

The Lord had given me an exciting year and a half walking with the most excellent and precious Christian friend I could ever ask for. But Richard went back to college, and the gloom that had haunted me before that mentorship returned. He went back to school; and I kept my consecration for five years.
That's when I said worse than Peter, "I want out, out of the Christian life. I want to be a worldling."

The problem was that I was afraid to leave God. From a long way He had brought Richard, my teacher. From a further distance He had brought Elder Morris Venden to Columbia Union College for its Fall week of Prayer, an amazing experience of learning the everlasting love of God. For the first time, I heard the mysteries revealed of the science of salvation, and through the Spirit I had the hope of righteous by faith. Many times, before and after that, Jesus took away my huge chastisement of peace and filled my soul. One time He touched my heart with ten minutes of holy sacred joy, and let me know that He wanted to live in me forever.

I knew how obligated I should be to Him for helping me so much. I also knew how last day events were shaping up. But all that seemed to be in the past, never to return. I chose to no longer remain in His training program. He seemed to have forgotten me. The 1980's world was spread out before me for my enriching and fill of enjoyment.

I longed for love again like I had in my teen youth group under Richard's leadership. I wanted a family of my own; a wife and children to love. And it seemed possible to have that unless outside the context of the present legalistic church life. I had a trade; framing carpentry was the work I knew well and loved. Years before that the dream of being a pastor had left me. "I go a shopping for a new life!" But I could only leave God if I were loved, because without love I knew that I couldn't survive the fears of leaving the great God, the powerful Judge of all the earth.

So, He brought me just the right worldly wise gal. She was perfectly designed to prove to me that living apart from the Creator would be no walk in the park. Brought up in desperate poverty, hunger and thirst, and the slavery of northern Brazil, life had honed her to be aggressive and abrasive and controlling to the extreme. The unconquerable Maria Zeny Pereira Magalaez Da Silva was a mouthful, and always had a mouth full of cursing and bitterness. But she was also the exact remedy for my ingratitude to heaven. A repeat of history was in the making, "The Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah." (Jonah 1:17).

So, I have been protected from the worst abuses of life. My Brazilian ark has not always been a comfortable cruise ship. The sights and smells of living with stinking pets has left me somewhat disillusioned with my ark. But my ark can't live without a boatload of animals. Currently, Zeny has four cats, one Chihuahua, and two baby squirrels that she is nursing.

I've learned a lot from her, and a lot about myself. The Lord has used her to unearth deformities deep inside my character. One day I hope to get off my Jonah's ark and be ready to participate in the Latter Rain. And I hope my Joan of Arc will take part in it too.

Behavior versus The Saviour

The sermon was on behavior centered religion versus relational centered religion. Is my personal religion on an earthly, human level? Is my theology about looking at the Law, and my behavior in contrast? Or, is my personal religion on a communion-with-Jesus level, and on looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith?

And what if my attempt at the impossible has been the first religion and theology? Then I have no certainty of salvation because I am not under the power of Christ's love. I'm completely open to the will of Satan and have no barrier against sin. Then, what if I engage in helping others to be saved when I'm not saved? Some of the following psychology article may apply. But be choosy and always let the Bible confirm your picks.

The Savior Complex
Why good intentions may have negative outcomes
Posted Feb 06, 2017

At first, the term “Savior Complex” may have a positive connotation. However, when you learn more about it and the underlying motivations and impact on others, it is clear that this behavior pattern can be problematic.

According to the blog PeopleSkillsDecoded.com, the savior complex can be best defined as “A psychological construct which makes a person feel the need to save other people. This person has a strong tendency to seek people who desperately need help and to assist them, often sacrificing their own needs for these people.

Many individuals who enter into caring professions such as mental health care, health care and even those who have loved ones with addictions may have some of these personality characteristics.  They are drawn to those who need “saving” for a variety of reasons.  However, their efforts to help others may be of an extreme nature that both deplete them and possibly enable the other individual.

The underlying belief of these individuals is: “It is the noble thing to do." They believe they are somehow better than others because they help people all the time without getting anything back.  While motives may or may not be pure, their actions are not helpful to all involved. The problem is that trying to "save" someone does not allow the other individual to take responsibility for his or her own actions and to develop internal motivation.  Therefore, the positive (or negative) changes may only be temporary.

The Second of The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is “Don’t Take Anything Personally.” This book chapter and the following quotes teach key concepts that may provide helpful guidance for those struggling with savior complex tendencies:

“You are never responsible for the actions of others; you are only responsible for you.”

“Whatever you think, whatever you feel, I know is your problem and not my problem.  It is the way you see the world.  It is nothing personal, because you are dealing with yourself, not with me.”

“Humans are addicted to suffering at different levels and to different degrees, and we support each other in maintaining these addictions”

So what are solutions for avoiding the “savior” trap with relationships and clients?

Process emotions with friends, family and/or other staff members.
Set boundaries with other individuals that allow you to balance caring for them with trying to “save” them.
Say “maybe” or “no” before saying yes in order to give yourself time to weigh options.
Slow down enough to be mindful of choices.
Reach out for support from a therapist or coach in order to receive an objective assessment of your interpersonal issue.
Let your loved one, friend and/or client take responsibility for their actions.
Do not work harder than your friend, loved one and/or client.
Do the best that you can do to support the individual and then “let go” of the results.
Redefining “helping” and “caring.”
What does “helping” mean to you and for this individual?

Asking questions
Backing off
Simply listening
Offering action steps and coping skills instead of doing the work for them
Ask yourself:

Am I helping this person by avoiding natural consequences?
Is this decision made to keep them “happy” or for their overall health?
Is my action helping them to get better or me to feel better?
Am I being invited to help?
Do I “want” to or have to do this?

Now, let's get back to my blog.

How can I be a Savior for others when I need a Saviour for myself? Likewise, how can I save myself when I need a Saviour for myself (sic, redundancy intended).

When the seven sons of Sceva tried to "help out" in the work of the uplifting someone who was oppressed by Satan the oppression jumped on them and tore them up. The good work was a dismal and painful failure. See Acts 19:11-17. Yet, Paul was not only preserved from the devil but his work was a positive blessing, and it advanced the kingdom of Christ.

We are never safe when we enter the world without the protection that comes with constant living under the power of Christ's love, which comes from a valid confrontation with the Law of God and the merciful intercession of grace from Christ.

Can we say the same lack of divine protection occurred with Dinah, the daughter of Jacob and Leah? She went out to mingle with the other girls in town, not to win them to the love of Jesus under whose love she wasn't controlled. The next she knew she was abducted and raped.

But Jesus the Son of God has always wanted to restore the broken communion between God and mankind, from the day in Eden when He cried, "Adam, where are you?" until He gave His last days church the promise, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." (Rev. 3:20).

Will it be "the Saviour" doing battle against our sins, us under the power of His loving grace? Or the temporal/eternal dangers that come to us because we fail to strive to cleave to the Son, but prefer to do our own anti-"behavior" tactics against our sins?

"Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able [when time is up]." (Luke 13:24).

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath (G2192) the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1John 5:11,12). G2192 echo "to hold", "have possession of", "contiguity".

G2192 is like Jacob wrestling with the Angel. "And He said, Let Me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let Thee go, except Thou bless me." (Gen. 32:26).

To have the Son like Jacob had the Son means to never let Him go no matter how much He commands it. To break that commandment is to have everlasting life.

Period.

Stirring last words from a prophet of the Lord

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8:20. The people of God are directed to the Scriptures as their safeguard against the influence of false teachers and the delusive power of spirits of darkness. Satan employs every possible device to prevent men from obtaining a knowledge of the Bible; for its plain utterances reveal his deceptions. At every revival of God's work the prince of evil is aroused to more intense activity; he is now putting forth his utmost efforts for a final struggle against Christ and His followers. The last great delusion is soon to open before us. Antichrist is to perform his marvelous works in our sight. So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures. By their testimony every statement and every miracle must be tested.

Those who endeavor to obey all the commandments of God will be opposed and derided. They can stand only in God. In order to endure the trial before them, they must understand the will of God as revealed in His word; they can honor Him only as they have a right conception of His character, government, and purposes, and act in accordance with them. None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict. To every soul will come the searching test: Shall I obey God rather than men? The decisive hour is even now at hand. Are our feet planted on the rock of God's immutable word? Are we prepared to stand firm in defense of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus?

Before His crucifixion the Saviour explained to His disciples that He was to be put to death and to rise again from the tomb, and angels were present to impress His words on minds and hearts. But the disciples were looking for temporal deliverance from the Roman yoke, and they could not tolerate the thought that He in whom all their hopes centered should suffer an ignominious death. The words which they needed to remember were banished from their minds; and when the time of trial came, it found them unprepared. The death of Jesus as fully destroyed their hopes as if He had not forewarned them. So in the prophecies the future is opened before us as plainly as it was opened to the disciples by the words of Christ. The events connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for the time of trouble, are clearly presented. But multitudes have no more understanding of these important truths than if they had never been revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make them wise unto salvation, and the time of trouble will find them unready.

When God sends to men warnings so important that they are represented as proclaimed by holy angels flying in the midst of heaven, He requires every person endowed with reasoning powers to heed the message. The fearful judgments denounced against the worship of the beast and his image (Revelation 14:9-11), should lead all to a diligent study of the prophecies to learn what the mark of the beast is, and how they are to avoid receiving it. But the masses of the people turn away their ears from hearing the truth and are turned unto fables. The apostle Paul declared, looking down to the last days: “The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:3. That time has fully come. The multitudes do not want Bible truth, because it interferes with the desires of the sinful, world-loving heart; and Satan supplies the deceptions which they love.

But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority—not one nor all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain “Thus saith the Lord” in its support.

Satan is constantly endeavoring to attract attention to man in the place of God. He leads the people to look to bishops, to pastors, to professors of theology, as their guides, instead of searching the Scriptures to learn their duty for themselves. Then, by controlling the minds of these leaders, he can influence the multitudes according to his will.

When Christ came to speak the words of life, the common people heard Him gladly; and many, even of the priests and rulers, believed on Him. But the chief of the priesthood and the leading men of the nation were determined to condemn and repudiate His teachings. Though they were baffled in all their efforts to find accusations against Him, though they could not but feel the influence of the divine power and wisdom attending His words, yet they incased themselves in prejudice; they rejected the clearest evidence of His Messiahship, lest they should be forced to become His disciples. These opponents of Jesus were men whom the people had been taught from infancy to reverence, to whose authority they had been accustomed implicitly to bow. “How is it,” they asked, “that our rulers and learned scribes do not believe on Jesus? Would not these pious men receive Him if He were

the Christ?” It was the influence of such teachers that led the Jewish nation to reject their Redeemer.

The spirit which actuated those priests and rulers is still manifested by many who make a high profession of piety. They refuse to examine the testimony of the Scriptures concerning the special truths for this time. They point to their own numbers, wealth, and popularity, and look with contempt upon the advocates of truth as few, poor, and unpopular, having a faith that separates them from the world.

Christ foresaw that the undue assumption of authority indulged by the scribes and Pharisees would not cease with the dispersion of the Jews. He had a prophetic view of the work of exalting human authority to rule the conscience, which has been so terrible a curse to the church in all ages. And His fearful denunciations of the scribes and Pharisees, and His warnings to the people not to follow these blind leaders, were placed on record as an admonition to future generations.

The Roman Church reserves to the clergy the right to interpret the Scriptures. On the ground that ecclesiastics alone are competent to explain God's word, it is withheld from the common people. Though the Reformation gave the Scriptures to all, yet the selfsame principle which was maintained by Rome prevents multitudes in Protestant churches from searching the Bible for themselves. They are taught to accept its teachings as interpreted by the church; and there are thousands who dare receive nothing, however plainly revealed in Scripture, that is contrary to their creed or the established teaching of their church.

Notwithstanding the Bible is full of warnings against false teachers, many are ready thus to commit the keeping of their souls to the clergy. There are today thousands of professors of religion who can give no other reason for points of faith which they hold than that they were so instructed by their religious leaders. They pass by the Saviour's teachings almost

unnoticed, and place implicit confidence in the words of the ministers. But are ministers infallible? How can we trust our souls to their guidance unless we know from God's word that they are light bearers? A lack of moral courage to step aside from the beaten track of the world leads many to follow in the steps of learned men; and by their reluctance to investigate for themselves, they are becoming hopelessly fastened in the chains of error. They see that the truth for this time is plainly brought to view in the Bible; and they feel the power of the Holy Spirit attending its proclamation; yet they allow the opposition of the clergy to turn them from the light. Though reason and conscience are convinced, these deluded souls dare not think differently from the minister; and their individual judgment, their eternal interests, are sacrificed to the unbelief, the pride and prejudice, of another.

Many are the ways by which Satan works through human influence to bind his captives. He secures multitudes to himself by attaching them by the silken cords of affection to those who are enemies of the cross of Christ. Whatever this attachment may be, parental, filial, conjugal, or social, the effect is the same; the opposers of truth exert their power to control the conscience, and the souls held under their sway have not sufficient courage or independence to obey their own convictions of duty.

The truth and the glory of God are inseparable; it is impossible for us, with the Bible within our reach, to honor God by erroneous opinions. Many claim that it matters not what one believes, if his life is only right. But the life is molded by the faith. If light and truth is within our reach, and we neglect to improve the privilege of hearing and seeing it, we virtually reject it; we are choosing darkness rather than light.

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 16:25. Ignorance is no excuse for error or sin, when there is every opportunity know the will of God. A man is traveling and comes to a place where there are several roads and a guideboard indicating where each one leads. If he disregards the guideboard, and takes whichever road seems to him to be right, he may be ever so sincere, but will in all probability find himself on the wrong road.

God has given us His word that we may become acquainted with its teachings and know for ourselves what He requires of us. When the lawyer came to Jesus with the inquiry, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” the Saviour referred him to the Scriptures, saying: “What is written in the law? how readest thou?” Ignorance will not excuse young or old, nor release them from the punishment due for the transgression of God's law; because there is in their hands a faithful presentation of that law and of its principles and claims. It is not enough to have good intentions; it is not enough to do what a man thinks is right or what the minister tells him is right. His soul's salvation is at stake, and he should search the Scriptures for himself. However strong may be his convictions, however confident he may be that the minister knows what is truth, this is not his foundation. He has a chart pointing out every waymark on the heavenward journey, and he ought not to guess at anything.

It is the first and highest duty of every rational being to learn from the Scriptures what is truth, and then to walk in the light and encourage others to follow his example. We should day by day study the Bible diligently, weighing every thought and comparing scripture with scripture. With divine help we are to form our opinions for ourselves as we are to answer for ourselves before God.... (To be continued)

The damning, dumbing down media

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." (2Cor. 11:3).

The art of bait and switch. The power of suggestion. Controlled attention. An Invisible Gorilla psyop.

Everyone who watches modern day theater is subject to whatever information is auguered up by the demonic locusts from the bottomless pit.

"Lo this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions." (Ecc. 7:29).

Spellbind, captivate, entrance: these words bespeak the psychological power over minds that consume television programming. Be it sports, sitcoms, news, soap operas, thrillers, westerns, suspense movies, commercials, cartoons, documentaries, and especially adult rated movies, every television production has been designed to grip the viewer and to not let go--forever remaining in the memory halls of the cerebral cortex.

Every category of theater is stuffed with smooth messages from Vatican false prophets. Complex, serpent-like psychology is woven into every presentation. The music is superb. The costumes are either all the rave, or embellished with lots of strange, interesting history. Every "good guy" is tall dark and handsome, and every "helpless maiden" is a beauty idolatrously dressed. And the "bad guy" is ugly and easy to pick out. The white hats and black hats were simply a means of dumbing down the viewers, never needing any discernment. So the TV program creators made it obvious concerning who to root for. And the vast majority of on-lookers came from the nations that had the economic power to own the latest, smoothest versions of telecommunications, i.e. the first world, especially Protestant America.

This dumbing down setup has always been used for easy identification of good guy in order to know who to love, and whose humanistic, moral, subliminal messages to trust for character development. But the inane simplicity of identifying the white hats became so cliche that a more sly means was needed for control of minds. Thus, a more sophisticated ease of identifying good guy-bad guy brought in the new era of technological theater.

Involved in this re-education of the world the most dangerous part of the brain to be affected is the frontal lobe region, "the frontopolar cortex". This is where the conscience lives. From the conscience is developed the spirit--faith, love, purity, discernment of truth from error, judging between right and wrong, communication with the spirit worlds.  I say "worlds" because there have always been two powers contending for the supremacy in every soul.

But, just what has been going on in the television studios and their TV watching audiences around the world, especially in their consciences? Not only the dumbing down of the intellects or even of the social faculties, but also the watchers' salvation, their "possession by the heavenly agencies". Desire of Ages, p. 324?

In other words, how has the media been used by Abaddon/Apollyon for his success in tormenting souls during the past 150 year, fifth trumpets' five prophetic months from 1849-1999? And after that, how complicit have the media moguls been with Satan in his pogrom of the ultimate killing of consciences, especially within Protestant Americans, during the sixth trumpet from 2000 until probation closes?

This week I worked in a private home, a Christian home, a Seventh-day Adventist home. The man of the house is the Sabbath School superintendant, and still thinks nothing wrong with watching some old sitcoms. The sitcom I overheard had a catchy, familiar closing tune, but I couldn't remember which sitcom it was. I'm glad. But, how light the ditty sounded! How inviting! How alluring!

Laughter is a potent analgesic for the modern tormented soul that is not worked by the Spirit of the holy God. A pastime of laughter makes up a large part of the wine of Babylon. That is why the Lord gave strong warning against laughing at foolishness.

"Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle." (Jer. 25:10).

The threats given to Israel of old are for Protestants and Adventists today. Protestant America is the Babylon of Revelation 17 and 18. And it will receive the same desolation that Jeremiah's Jerusalem suffered.

"The voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee." (Rev. 18:22,23).

And the hypnotic techniques of the modern theater are heightened to keep the conscience sedated and unable to learn the message that the world will hear during the Latter Rain. How few Adventists seem to be receiving the heart and intellect to speak the truth in power! How many are re-educated away from the Spirit of Prophecy counsels, and how few even have a pallate to hear reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness!

"Then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2Thess. 2:8-12).

Protestant Americans have polluted the paradise with which heaven honored them for their faithfulness to their Lord's Reformation covenant. Not only do we find its rivers and air poisoned, and its land littered with broken glass, plastic and paper containers, grocery bags, and rusting cars and other machinery, but every thought and sentiment are fraught with rebellion towards, and forgetfulness of, the holy God of their Bible. Not only is its space littered with rocket parts and other junk, but its ionosphere is littered with idolatrous radiowaves and weaponized, manipulated weather. Up from its nature reserves jut billowing chemical plants and shiny hotel resorts, theme parks and licentious communes, and its beaches are crowded with nudity, worldliness, and more forgetfulness of God.

The Amorites of ancient Canaan will enter the kingdom of heaven before Protestant Americans will. If the ancient holy land vomited out the wicked Canaanites, most certainly will an offended Lord God of hosts vomit the apostate Protestants out of their civil and religious liberties, and their abundant, wealthy Republic.

The cards are cast. There's no turning back by our apostate country. It has done worse than all the nations. Its door of mercy is fast closing.

"Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the Lord's right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory." (Hab. 2:16).

"As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame." (Hos
 4:7).

"Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)" (Phil. 3:10).

"While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps." (Matt. 25:5-7).

"Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the Lord, the rebuke of thy God.
Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
Thus saith thy Lord the Lord, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over." (Isa. 51:20-23).

"And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them." (Rev. 11:11,12).

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the Lord's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
Babylon hath been a golden cup in the Lord's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.
Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed." (Jer. 51:5-7).

"We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

This symbolism is taken from the incident of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram against Moses, which ended in a nation-wide plague.

"And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram....
And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their's, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children....
And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
And there came out a fire from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense." (Num. 16:23,24,26,27, 31-35).

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double." (Rev. 18:4-6).

"...then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains....
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matt. 24:14-16,21,22).

The whole world is drunken with religion without the only true God. They don't know Him or the gentle love of the Saviour. And when the Lord's Spirit is removed from humanity, all who wouldn't choose to go to the Schoolmaster for the repentance that needs not to be repented of, therefore all that they know is forced out emotion and white hot, fanatical obedience. They might have great light and power, but no sweet love, joy, and peace. Therefore, "the wrath of God abideth upon them."  (John 3:36).

"And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which ... receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." (Rev. 17:12-14).

"And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever....
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." (Rev.19:1-3,6-8).

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

"And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." (Rev. 19:19,20).

"And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." (Rev. 14:11).

"Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth." (Rev. 11:18).

"...for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." (Rev. 18:23,24).
