Rogue planets, a wonderful find for the kingdom of God

This CNN article tells of a newly discovered rogue planet that will proclaim the fallacies of atheism, evolution, and Big Bang. 

But if God will take ownership of His kingdom of Earth as the Roman Space Telescope searches our galaxy in earnest for cold, dark FFP rogue planets He will have His people proclaim that the FFPs are the best evidence in favor of the ridiculed fourth day of creation week. 

In the first chapter of Genesis we read that on day four God gave His most precious of all planets its sun and moon. I believe this can best be explained by our pre-creation orb being a rogue, gas giant the size of Neptune (similar to the recently discovered, distant and massive, rogue exoplanet called HD106906 b), being brought to our Sun, together with our Moon and the rest of our solar system family. 

But before that Jesus divided and condensed it's jumbo, water vapor atmosphere into an ocean above and below a firmament (the nitrogen-oxygen, dry breathing space we call our atmosphere). Next our flora and fauna. Lastly, He formed the special creations made especially in the image of His Father and Himself, respectively.

And for the grand finale of Their week of joy, They made a day to perpetually commemorate the greatest creation in all Their universe--the Sabbath of rest with Their most precious children. The CNN article to follow:

Astronomers find smallest 'rogue planet' in the Milky Way

(CNN)Astronomers have detected the smallest rogue planet in our Milky Way galaxy, and it's between the sizes of Mars and Earth. Rogue planets are free-floating planets that don't orbit stars.

The planet, named OGLE-2016-BLG-1928, was found by astronomers using the Warsaw Telescope at Las Campanas Observatory in Chile.

The astronomers are part of the OGLE survey, one of the largest and longest sky surveys that began 28 years ago. On clear nights, the OGLE survey astronomers aim the telescope at the Milky Way's central regions to observe millions of stars.

The study published Thursday in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.

These untethered planets could outnumber the stars in our galaxy, according to recent research, but they are hard to spot.

Given the fact that rogue planets don't emit light like stars, or even enough heat to be visible in infrared light, these otherwise invisible worlds can be seen through microlensing events.

Microlensing occurs when the presence of something massive can actually warp space-time, like black holes. But this phenonmenon can also occur around planets.

For instance, if a rogue planet is in alignment with a distant star, the light from that star will essentially bend around the planet, resulting in a magnifying effect. Researchers can use the changes in light around the planet to measure the planet's mass.

"If a massive object (a star or a planet) passes between an Earth-based observer and a distant source star, its gravity may deflect and focus light from the source. The observer will measure a short brightening of the source star," said lead study author Przemek Mroz, a postdoctoral scholar at the California Institute of Technology, in a statement.

"Chances of observing microlensing are extremely slim because three objects - source, lens, and observer - must be nearly perfectly aligned. If we observed only one source star, we would have to wait almost a million years to see the source being microlensed."

Surveys like OGLE can monitor hundreds of millions of stars near the center of the Milky Way, affording them the best chance to observe microlensing events.

The duration of the microlensing event helps researchers determine the mass of the object. The shorter the event, the smaller the object. Typically, planets have microlensing events that last a few hours. But the one for this new planet only lasted 42 minutes -- the shortest event confirmed yet.

"When we first spotted this event, it was clear that it must have been caused by an extremely tiny object," said study coauthor Radoslaw Poleski, astronomer at the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Warsaw, in a statement.

Understanding rogue planet

Planet birth itself is a violent, erratic process. Gas and dust in disks around young stars clump together and gradually grow in size to form planets.

But collisions between objects on grander scales, or even coming too close to another planet in orbit around the star, or the star itself, can kick the planet out of its system.

And then the planet is on its own -- it has gone rogue.

It's also possible that lonely planets can form on their own in isolated clouds of gas and dust.

Understanding these rogue planets could shed more light on the formation, evolution and disruption of planetary systems.

Scientists have only found a few rogue planets so far. But the Roman Space Telescope's capabilities will allow it to find and characterize these roaming nomad planets.

The Roman Telescope will help researchers determine how these planets form by providing information about how many there are as well as their masses -- which could help indicate their origin stories.

"The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope (Roman) will perform a Galactic Exoplanet Survey (RGES) to discover bound exoplanets with semimajor axes greater than 1 au using gravitational microlensing. Roman will even be sensitive to planetary-mass objects that are not gravitationally bound to any host star. Such free-floating planetary-mass objects (FFPs) will be detected as isolated microlensing events with timescales shorter than a few days. A measurement of the abundance and mass function of FFPs is a powerful diagnostic of the formation and evolution of planetary systems, as well as the physics of the formation of isolated objects via direct collapse. We show that Roman will be sensitive to FFP lenses that have masses from that of Mars (0.1 M ⊕) to gas giants (M  100 M ⊕) as isolated lensing events with timescales from a few hours to several tens of days, respectively. We investigate the impact of the detection criteria on the survey, especially in the presence of finite-source effects for low-mass lenses. The number of detections will depend on the abundance of such FFPs as a function of mass, which is at present poorly constrained. Assuming that FFPs follow the fiducial mass function of cold, bound planets adapted from Cassan et al., we estimate that Roman will detect ~250 FFPs with masses down to that of Mars (including ~60 with masses ≤ M⊕). We also predict that Roman will improve the upper limits on FFP populations by at least an order of magnitude compared to currently existing constraints."

Cherished sin our double foe

Christ's Object Lessons, p.46-48.

“He that receiveth the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while; for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.” COL 46.2

"The seed sown upon stony ground finds little depth of soil. The plant springs up quickly, but the root cannot penetrate the rock to find nutriment to sustain its growth, and it soon perishes. Many who make a profession of religion are stony-ground hearers. Like the rock underlying the layer of earth, the selfishness of the natural heart underlies the soil of their good desires and aspirations. The love of self is not subdued. They have not seen the exceeding sinfulness of sin, and the heart has not been humbled under a sense of its guilt. This class may be easily convinced, and appear to be bright converts, but they have only a superficial religion.COL 46.3...

The roots of the plant strike down deep into the soil, and hidden from sight nourish the life of the plant. So with the Christian; it is by the invisible union of the soul with Christ, through faith, that the spiritual life is nourished. But the stony-ground hearers depend upon self instead of Christ. They trust in their good works and good impulses, and are strong in their own righteousness. They are not strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Such a one “hath not root in himself”; for he is not connected with Christ. COL 47.1

The hot summer sun, that strengthens and ripens the hardy grain, destroys that which has no depth of root. So he who “hath not root in himself,” “dureth for a while”; but “when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.” Many receive the gospel as a way of escape from suffering, rather than as a deliverance from sin. They rejoice for a season, for they think that religion will free them from difficulty and trial. While life moves smoothly with them, they may appear to be consistent Christians. But they faint beneath the fiery test of temptation. They cannot bear reproach for Christ's sake. When the word of God points out some cherished sin, or requires self-denial or sacrifice, they are offended. It would cost them too much effort to make a radical change in their life. They look at the present inconvenience and trial, and forget the eternal realities. Like the disciples who left Jesus, they are ready to say, “This is an hard saying; who can hear it?” John 6:60. COL 47.2

There are very many who claim to serve God, but who have no experimental knowledge of Him. Their desire to do His will is based upon their own inclination, not upon the deep conviction of the Holy Spirit. Their conduct is not brought into harmony with the law of God. They profess to accept Christ as their Saviour, but they do not believe that He will give them power to overcome their sins. They have not a personal relation with a living Saviour, and their characters reveal defects both hereditary and cultivated." COL 48.1

"When the word of God points out some cherished sin...they are offended."

"This is an hard saying; who can hear it?" (John 6:60)? The whole book, Christ's Object Lessons, is chock full of hard sayings. The Author's hard sayings in Christ's Object Lessons and in His many other books through Ellen White answer to His own description in The Great Controversy, p. 425.

"Says the prophet: “Who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers’ soap: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.” Malachi 3:2, 3. Those who are living upon the earth when the intercession of Christ shall cease in the sanctuary above are to stand in the sight of a holy God without a mediator. Their robes must be spotless, their characters must be purified from sin by the blood of sprinkling. Through the grace of God and their own diligent effort they must be conquerors in the battle with evil. While the investigative judgment is going forward in heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among God's people upon earth. This work is more clearly presented in the messages of Revelation 14."

So, we should not be surprised at the books' close-in chopping away of all bewitching veils and rubbish, which we and our fathers have used to block the glory shining from the truth. Let the word of God be "quick (it hits a nerve every time), powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword (scalpel)." Let it be the hammer that breaks the rock in pieces. If breaking doesn't happen, so that we don't fall broken on the Hammer, then Ellen White was a false prophet.

Cherished sin. What does He mean by cherished? A precious sin. That darling sin.

Is our cherished sin an object? A dream house, or a dream car? Is it a new, first model year, or an impeccable vintage model? Is it the latest computer, or phone? 

What is the idol that we gush over? Is that cherished sin a substance, illegal or legal. Is it food? Is it over-eating? Is it the blasphemous, dessert-like sin that is "so heavenly", and "just divine"? What is our ungodly lust that the Spirit of God has so often called "adultery" and drunkenness? "In eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken." (1Cor. 11:21). "The inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication." "With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication." (Rev. 17:3). 

What is the thing or stuff in which we ultra-indulge our flesh? Is it entertainment? Is it gaming? Or, movies? Is it a magazine, even though this world passes away? Is it socially accepted spiritualism? Is it New Age spirituality? Is your brand of spiritualism delving into church-accepted Spiritual Formation, of which any religion is guilty that rejects/ignores the condemnation of sin from the authoritative, last days prophet, Ellen White? Is it playing around with, or even just dabbling around the edges of, the occult?

Is it an emotion? Hatred toward an individual, a group, a culture, a nation, a race? Unforgiving, brooding over a past affront, daily consuming, every moment absorbing, an adversary's anger and hate. By beholding becoming changed into the same image until we have the mark of the beast in our foreheads?

Cherished and imagination-fondled sins of any category make terribly deep roots in our hearts and memories. We should never underestimate the almost omnipotent power of sins that have sneaked their way into our bosoms. They have actually stolen the place that God intended only for Himself. All who determinedly do that until the end become "the habitation of devil's, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird." (Rev. 18:4). The deep roots constitute the stony ground of Christ's parable.

Jehovah, through His Spirit, infinitely desires the habitation that human hearts can provide Him.

"The household of God...in whom ye are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." (Eph. 3:20, 22).

 But, how can He dwell in a heart that still has the roots of love for another god, a lust that will assuredly manifest itself toward God's holy Spirit? Why should He enter when He knows the host will noticeably cringe when He speaks His beloved righteousness into his or her thoughts? This is why Jesus must require standards prior to Their entrance.

"He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.... If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him." ( John 14:21,23).

 If He were to enter polluted minds He would necessarily have to cohabit with the spirit of Satan/Baal/Dagon. Do we really know what we are doing to Jesus, and His holy Father, by polluting our bodies and minds, and then presuming to open ourselves for Their entrance? It's like asking Them to kiss an ashtray. He doesn't deserve that and it will just not happen. Either Dagon and all his caustic smoke must go! Or, Jehovah and His pleasures for evermore must go, and that with the slightest indication that such hearts can't leave the spirit of Dagon. The Spirit of Jehovah will leave; and He will plague the secret parts of all who grieved Him by their Dagon-cherished hearts.

But the standard is high, as we read above from Christ's Object Lessons. Who is able to hear the Spirit of truth, the powerful testimony of Jesus that breaks the stubborn rocks in pieces? Who can stand in the presence of the mighty Cleaver of truth that cuts and squares and scourges God's children to be fitted and prepared for the great Temple of God? The Law is not optional. We must all stand before the perfect Law of liberty. And we should never think that the roots of all our cherished, deeply rooted sins are completely removed from our hearts and minds, our memory and wicked psyches. While the grace of Christ  can give us the victory over every besetting, inherited and cultivated tendency to evil, until we get the victory, it would be a healthy practice to at least think on Paul's everlasting plea, "O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from this body of death?!"

The merciful Son of God

Having just read of the physical and psychological ramifications of birth-related complications that have plagued mothers anciently until our present 21st century, and the sorrow it summons up in me, I have a renewed appreciation for our Saviour and Lord.

Jesus, the Mother of all living, made in His Father's image through His own begetting, and through His part in our second begetting, understood what all mothers have suffered in childbirth. As God's help meet in the creation of everything, and as His spirit Representative watching every earthly childbirth, He was intimately familiar with every mother's agonies and afterbirth complications. The decision to not marry and have a human family during His earthly sojourn not only must be because He was the Judge and original progenitor of humanity, and thus must remain removed from that level of involvement in human experience (but would experience it all at a deeper level, infinitely deeper and fuller in Gethsemane and on Golgotha), still by abstaining from intercourse He could silently communicate mercy for women whose husbands had caused untold misery, and perpetual discomfort and pain, from childbirth(s).

Jesus' mind came from a completely different setting. His very digestive appetite was appeased by "doing the will of My Father, and finishing His work." (John 4:34). Filled with His Father's mind, which came from an eternity of dwelling in His Father's bosom, Jesus had no need of anything earthly. Although His earthly children are called His younger brethren, our Elder Brother is of an utterly incomparable ilk than, and far above, our animal experience. 

Hence, every injured mothers, and all of humanity, can find their niche in the loving kindness of the Son and in the bosom of God.

The meaning of "Jehovah"

"And the four beasts...rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come." (Rev. 4:8).

The nation of Israel lost the ability to pronounce the name of God, so that 

(this is my belief, not Truth2u's) Satan could bring it back in the form of "Yahweh", which is pronounced identically with the Roman father of all gods Jupiter, or, Jove ("J" was pronounced like a "y", then a short "o". After that the "v" sounded like a "w",  and finally the "e" like a long "a" sound.) Jove was not pronounced with the typical American sounds and rules of phonetics that would make it rhyme with "wove" or "strove", but would be pronounced, "yah-way". 

Thus, Satan inspired men to cleverly morph Elohim's eternal name into Jupiter's name. And a pagan god's name and his satanic spirit blasphemed the name of Elohim, which lost its original Hebrew form and its meaning. The Father of angelic beings that excel in strength became the father of demonic gods. The Elohim of elohim was now Jupiter, king of kings and of demigods. The Creator who, at the beginning said, "Let there be light" and brought light into existence, now was merged with Lucifer, the light-bringer.

Moses, with his whole heart, warned all the Hebrew children of God concerning real potential tragedies on a gigantic scale, "if thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God." (Deut. 28:58). 

According to Truth2u the loss of God's true name was decreed by Jehovah Himself just prior to the remnant Jews who, in their self-will, chose to live in idolatrous, pagan Egypt during the Babylonian conquest. For a true context, we must bear in mind that the captivity didn't end with the subjugation of Babylonian Belshazzar by Persian Cyrus. The providential dominion over Israel, and loss of their autonomy by heathen power lasted 700 years. Their subjugation has even continued until today, sad to say, during the past two millennia under Roman jurisdiction, spirituality, and atheism.

"Therefore hear ye the word of the Lord, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by My great name, saith the Lord, that My name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord God liveth." (Jer. 44:26).

Some sources give the reason that God's name was lost was the noble cause that the people feared to offend God by saying His name. So they never spoke it. And thus left in disuse, its sounds became forgotten to the Jews. However, my study of scripture leads me to believe that the Jews had defiled God's name for so long that He placed them in circumstances that would make them stop misrepresenting Him before the world. This interpretation aligns with Ezekiel 16:38-63, Ezekiel 20:3-44, Romans 2:24, and Isaiah 1:10-15. Again, do I judge them? How can I, when Christianity, and Protestantism, and we, His Adventists, have done the same? We, the whole world, need to fear God and glorify Him, for the hour of His judgment has come. The church has defiled God's name and reputation before the world in turning away from His straight Testimony, and now it's time to hear what He thinks of our adultery.

Truth2u believes the removal of God's correct name was to protect that holy name from heathen profanity. But maybe that's just Jewish vanity. (I'm only provoking unto love. As many as I love I rebuke and chasten, as the Lord did.) And yet, He sent the later promise that His name would be restored when His people would confess, with deep repentance, their treatment of Him.

"For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one consent." (Zeph. 3:9).

My suspicion is that the Jews would forget the name of God because Baal would be all that they would use by their continued service to Satan while in captivity. Moses had forewarned this.

"The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone." (Deut. 28:36). But the crude Baalim would return later, not in such blatantly licentious fertility rites and rough hewn and symbolic images, but in sophisticated philosophies and exquisitely sculpted statues.

But, should we pass judgment on the Jews? Have we the church done any differently? When God should be filling all of our thoughts, for all the abundant protection, privileges, provisions, freedom, and joy that He has granted us, His Protestant Americans, how do we look and sound today? Our Deliverer from papal despotism and persecution fills none of our thoughts! I realize that sounds exaggerated. But it isn't far from the truth. 

Notwithstanding God's Protestant people's complete departure from our Reformation covenant with Him, His name has returned to the Jews and to Protestantism, with its meaning.

Amazing grace of eternal love! But that holy name lost in antiquity is not the secretive mystery Tetragrammaton, YHVH that had the vowels of Adonoy inserted between the Tetragrammaton's consonants. Rather, the new revelation is the very name of the Most High God, Jehovah! 

For the longest time I have wanted to know the meaning of Jehovah. And now I know! Here's how it works:

The ancient Hebrew, yihye, translates to, "He will be (for evermore)";

The ancient Hebrew, hove, translates to, "He is";

The ancient Hebrew, hayah, translates to, "He has been ('from of old, from everlasting' (Mic. 5:2))".

The name of the Most High, who "liveth for ever and ever" (Rev. 4:9,10; 5:14; 10:6; 15:7), the "Ancient of days" (Dan. 7:9) is, yihye-hove-hayah.

Each phrase abbreviated the three make ("ye" "hov" "ah") which is, Ye-hov-ah. Amen! And Amen! 

The three infinite attributes comprise the name of the "only true God" (John 17:3), the holy divine One. The "Holy, holy, holy" from the four beasts, who rest not in their praises to the Most High and Most Holy God, is not attributed to the pagan Trinity god, but to "Him that sitteth on the throne" (Rev. 5:13; 6:16; 7:15), "He" (Rev. 4:3), "the One (who) sat on the throne" (Rev. 4:22).

And the three "holy(s)" refer to the three time periods that describe His attribute of eternity--future, present, and past--of the only true God, the self-existent Father. His sole, eternal existence, "who only hath immortality" (1Tim. 6:16), always will be holy, is now holy, and ever has been holy.

"And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God." (Gal. 6:16).

"From Him which is, and which was, and which is to come", "Grace be unto you, and peace". (Rev. 1:4).
