The third angel’s message—problem and solution

For the longest time I didn’t know what the third angel’s message is. It wasn’t preached from any church pulpits. And I didn’t receive any of the church magazines, so if they explained the message I wouldn’t have known it.

But, I’ve learned that the first angel’s message was William Miller’s message, and the second angel’s message was the Midnight Cry during the summer of 1844. That leaves the third angel’s message being everything we’ve been given from Ellen White. So, the third angel’s message is the whole message of the spirit of prophecy.

I will use that message and give it a current news application. I will also give it a Jeremiah application since the Revelation Babylon that the 144,000 call people out of is symbolic of the literal Babylon of Jeremiah’s day. And for that call out of Babylon the spirit of prophecy has been preparing the Adventist denomination.

The problem

Protestant America thinks it has its land. We used to sing “This land is my land, this land is your land…” But we don’t really. If our economy crashes who could pay for the taxes on their land? During the Great Depression my grandfather lost his 120 acre farm because his farm couldn’t produce enough income to pay the land tax. So he had to sell and move into town.

We don’t own our country. We don’t control our national government or own its infrastructure, its Constitution, its air space or the space above the air space. Case in point: NORAD was at the Pacific northwest on 9/11 when it should have been at the Atlantic northeast. It was not beneficial for NORAD to intercept aircraft on 9/11.

We’ve lost control because we have walked away from the God of our fathers. We broke the Reformation covenant with the God of the Reformation. Our God we have despised. We want freedom from His religion. Our covenant said that He would take captivity captive. He would deliver us from the Papacy, but we would be captive to His laws of righteousness. Beautiful arrangement!

But we reneged. We have done just like ancient Israel by despising the righteous laws that Jehovah loves. We want to be slaves of Satan and wickedness. We have written off Jehovah and have pretended that He does not exist. We have accepted the devil’s big lie, the strong delusion. So our God is giving us up to Satan. Jeremiah’s message was that Jehovah was raising up Babylon to such power that Israel could never  hope to defend itself. If they were to try they would die by the sword or famine or pestilence. But, despite Jeremiah’s years of warnings, they fought anyway and got spanked badly. To get a graphic idea of what they suffered, just read what happened to King Zedekiah in Jeremiah 39:6,7. It was punishment and discipline. 70 years of captivity. 500 years of subjugation by foreign powers, and permanent loss of autonomy.

Protestant America is repeating Israel’s history. Same God. Same laws being disregarded. Same gospel and covenant despised. 

So Revelation prophesied that Babylon would come back again. The deadly wound would be healed. Our God delivered us from the papacy of the Dark Ages. But the Revelation prophecy says that the papal beast would be resuscitated and again rule the world with a worse despotism than in past ages. And the resuscitated Babylon is here already with its same ugly machinations, but with super-added revenge. Nothing has really changed about her. The New Age Vatican is no less despotic now that in the past. Its contempt for freedom and rights and faith in the only true God is no less than it was when it operated the inquisitions and burned millions at the stake during the Dark Ages.

The beast is back; the kings and merchants of the earth are readying to make war on the nations. The blood-thirsty woman is on its back--meaning that the global political structures are all supporting her agenda of world dominance for Satan. Protestant America’s old adversary is alive and well, and daily is getting healthier and stronger. They own all the high places of power in America. It is what Paul called “spiritual wickedness in high places”. And many see this danger. But their solution is to stockpile guns and ammunition. But we are destined to be punished and disciplined and locked up in captivity. Just. Like. Ancient Israel.

Gun-toting brethren, what can guns and bullets do against winged aircraft 1500 feet in the air? Babylon is going to burn you out of town. They are going to flood you out. Snow you out. Drought you out. You can’t stop the Vatican and her Jesuits. You can’t stop their chem-trailing. You can’t stop their technologically advanced wild-fires. You can’t stop their cell phone monitoring. You can’t stop them! They make all the policies and the legislation that sends tax-payer funded armies against you. And you will capitulate. They are organized. They have all the genius, and many think tanks. They know all the psychology to deceive and motivate societies to do their bidding. Theirs is the Fed; they set that up when no one was looking. They got the Federal Reserve Act passed—by intrigue, but legally.

“For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.  And therefore will the LORD wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him. For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: He will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when He shall hear it, He will answer thee.” (Isa. 30:15-19).

So, you say you have bullets—they have cruise missiles, and satellites, and the coordinates to your home. They have the latest technology, massive computers, and databases on every citizen. And they have a supernatural god and you don’t because you gave up yours, and His protection against Lucifer. You slapped God in the face. He delivered you from the very power that is taking you captive again. 500 years ago He raised up Reformers who paved the way to freedom from satanic oppression. America, and the world it dominates, are free today because of the courageous and godly Reformers. And you walked away from His reforms. Now Jehovah is letting you serve the god you have chosen. But, He will give one last appeal to you--the same appeal He gave Israel when He raised up the first Babylon.

“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

And the LORD shall utter His voice before His army: for His camp is very great: for He is strong that executeth His word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?” (Joel 2:1-11).

The solution

Neither defense, nor fighting, nor hating the beast power, can fix our dilemma. God, the holy God, is our only help, upon full repentance for our spiteful rebellion. He requires righteousness. He must see obedience to His laws and statutes that are explicitly stated in the Bible. He must see 110% of our effort and will bent toward self-denial instead of self-indulgence, toward self-sacrificing love instead of self-centeredness, toward self-forgetfulness instead of self-love, self-abnegation instead of self-exaltation, humility instead of arrogance.

But how? How can we do all that? By a faith that cries out in its distress and opens the ear of the Almighty. He will hear when we turn to Him with all our heart. He can humble. He will humble His children. Will we submit? Well we accept the humbling and turn to Him and receive His power to obey His laws?

He has already decided upon punishing us. We will get our due punishment because we need it. But will we bow to its humbling? If we do bow we will be locked down. If we don’t bow to our punishment, and we try to fend it off, we will most assuredly die. Those were the terms to ancient Israel, and those are the terms today. God hasn’t changed; His terms haven’t changed. His unholy Protestant modern Israel hasn’t changed. Satan hasn’t changed, and neither has Babylon. History must be repeated.

But some will need a Saviour. Some will be humbled and repent. And the Saviour will make Himself available to them. He will get them prepared for His return. Will that be you? Will it be me?
