Toxic death within

“Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.” (Matt. 15:11).

“Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

These are the things which defile a man.” (Matt. 15:17-20).

Before they come out of us we suffer from them.

“Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” (Rom. 3:13,14).

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful….” (Rom. 1:28-31).

Billions among humanity are seeking a physical remedy for spiritual troubles. They don’t realize that the worst of their ills comes from within rather than their external discomforts, annoyances, and inconveniences. They are trying by their health reform to get health because they are convinced that they are already on good terms with God. Therefore, they believe that their pains are only physical in nature. (They believe that) their ills are a bodily problem, that the pains are from their body. Their ills aren’t a mental problem because the mind doesn’t hurt (they believe). And  (they believe) their ills aren’t a spiritual problem because their conscience doesn’t bother them. Besides, many of them are Christians. They are right with God, even though they have never fallen on the Stone and been broken. They don’t know communion with Jesus. They haven’t set their love upon Him, and known His deliverance through His Spirit.

So they begin an exercise regimen. They start taking exotic and technologically advanced vitamins and minerals and antioxidants and phytochemicals. They fast. They juice. They eat organic. They stand on their head, or do yoga, or pray on a paper-thin mat five times every day. Or, they begin the slippery slope of street drugs and pharmaceuticals, or substances wherever they can find them, off-the-shelf, over-the-counter, behind-the-counter, on the internet. They don’t need to change spiritually. They don’t need to reconsider their condition in God’s sight. They don’t need to see themselves as exceeding great sinners. They don’t need to stand before the Law and the Testimony of Jesus, which is the Spirit of Prophecy. They are certain that their physical ills are a bodily issue because that is where the problems manifest themselves. The problem is not them, but the incompetent doctors. They need a better doctor who “knows what he’s talking about”, or a voice of medical authority from the internet whose website has all the bells and whistles. They don’t need to expend the much time and effort to seek God’s face for His mercy and lovingkindness. They don’t need to humble themselves and be convicted of sin. Loving God with all their heart will not fix their body (they believe).

Babylon has a vast pharmacy. From the most ancient times, medical practices used drugs and mantras to call forth miraculous healing. “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee [Babylon]; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy [Babylon’s] merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries^G5331 [Babylon’s pharmakeia] were all nations deceived.” (Rev. 18:23). “All nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” (Rev. 18:3).

But God cannot reward any form of unbelief. Faith in a sacrament to the gods, faith in mummery, in omni-domni or in abracadabra, is not faith in the Creator of heaven and earth. Faith in vitamins and the latest-and-greatest technology in supplements is not trust in the divine Saviour, Jesus the only begotten Child of God. Hoping in man and in his great genius is not fearing “the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.” (Jon. 1:9).

“He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18).

Not believing on Jesus brings rejection and condemnation from God. His condemnation, His “chastisement of our peace” (Isa. 53:5) is the real cause for all of our ills. But to all who love Jesus and keep learning of Him, His promise is, “My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.” (John 14:23). Our anxiety and disturbed heart and mind come by the distance from our Creator because we don’t trust in Him, and instead trust in sin, which is the real culprit. It is sin that brings on our anxiety, lowers our immunity, and causes our torments, diseases, and death. The sting of disease and death comes from sin. When our communion is cut off from the great Healer, He cannot heal. We are healed by our contact with the One who said, “All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.” (Matt. 28:18). If there is no union, no communion with Jesus, there is no power, and no fortification against “him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.” (Heb. 2:14).

Our chastisement of peace is as Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear.” (Gen. 4:13). Cain’s punishment came with the full disconnect with God, which he had never known, because even while he was offering up the forbidden grain offering for his sins, Jesus still suffered with Cain’s rebellion, and still sought to win his heart back. But, when he stood perfectly decidedly in his self-justification, and refused to confess and repent for his murder of God’s saint, his very brother, then his judgment came upon him in 3rd angel’s torments. The wrath of God was poured out upon Cain without mixture, and he had no rest day or night. Now, although it was too late to fix the torment, he discovered the fruition of his persistent spite toward heaven. Cain’s probation forever closed in mark-of-the-beast fashion. He was marked by God as a permanent reject of the heavenly kingdom, and was given over to satanic forces. The impeached crown prince of Earth must drink the bitterness of wormwood, for almost a thousand years. He must be ground down to powder for the remainder of his life. All who persist in their rebellion, despite the constant pressure of God’s spiritual restraint weighing heavily upon their conscience, will receive the same chastening until they are forced to choose to bow their self-will and heart before the Most High, or stumble into permanent darkness.

For our sakes, God makes the chastisement of our peace is unbearable.

“When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.” (Ps. 32:3,4).

It’s the curse from the Law that God uses to represent His displeasure. No one can disregard His Law with impunity. He stands wholly behind His Law, and His Spirit through His Law slices and dices its way into our psyches. The Law of God is spiritual and tangible, and as real are the consequences for disregarding the Law. The threatening presence of God upon the consciences of sinners warning them away from sin in their daily lives results in a weakened immune system. Then their bodies become susceptible to any and all of the bacteria and fungi and viruses and man-made chemicals that are floating around us all. Slowly they experience Christ’s breakdown of organs under the wrath of their God. Anyone who continues to pretend that their relation to God is not suspect, and who covers their providential anxiety with sorcery, whether hedonistic sorcery or religious pharmakeia, he will come to the end of his life and die a painful, lingering long death.

“Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.” (Isa. 50:11).

All they need to do in the pig pen of their own making is two things: heed the God of righteous justice, and remember that He loves all of His rebellious children and will receive them if they repent. They need to do as the prodigal son did in his pig pen—he came to. His enchanting, bewitching bubble popped. “And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before Thee, and am no more worthy to be called Thy son: make me as one of Thy hired servants.” (Luke 15:16-19).

But, thank God for his heaven-sent troubles, “the rebuke of thy God” (Isa. 51:20)! Their God (and ours) didn’t leave them, through all the years of their rebellion. “I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is His name.” (Isa. 51:15). He sought them out, following them and calling to them every day, “Have you had enough rebuke yet? Are you ready to turn back to Me?” “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (2Cor. 6:17,18). Thank God for our troubles! He means business because He sees us all perched on the edge of a precipice that has eternal loss at the dark bottom. Thank God for His cup of derision upon us! In their compounding troubles the rebels must wake up from their dreamy hopes in all the tinsel of the world’s fun and toys and games. They must come to terms with the only true God.

“Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of His fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.

There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.

These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?

Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.

Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:

Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of His people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of My fury; thou shalt no more drink it again.” (Isa. 51:17-22).

“Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.” (Isa. 40:1,2). His people wrung out the dregs from Jehovah’s cup of double punishment and now His warfare against His people is accomplished. Now He is ready to forgive their iniquities because they are ready to be sorry.

After a carnival life that the palsied man thought would make him happy, Jesus came to bring him comfort and joy. Through His gifts of repentance He would forgive all the man’s sins after his long painful disease, and his living long under the hopeless rebuke of God. Mercy is the purpose of God’s long chastisement of our peace—blessed repentance and an even more glorious redeemed life with reconciled to God’s Spirit.

“And, behold, they brought to Him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.… For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? … (then saith He to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.” (Matt. 9:2,5,6). The man was healed by being forgiven and accepted by God. he was healed body, mind, and soul.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Ps. 103:2-5).

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.…

I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.” (Ps. 32:1,2,5).

It is when we’ve had enough pain and we’ve emptied our temporal worth in exchange for the world’s cure for God’s chastisement of our peace, that we go to His designated Representative, our High Priest. We then can let Him do what He needs to do to re-open our wounds and pour in His righteousness. Upon divine-human contact with Him His virtue arcs His Spirit into our soul, spirit, and body. That arc of divine power from above jolts our pride, brings us to repentance, and enables Him to stanch our hemorrhaging uncleanness, disinfecting and healing us. Afterwards we have no more pain, no more tears, as one daughter of Israel experienced.

“A woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind Him, and touched the border of His garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. The fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. For she said, If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned Him about in the press, and said, Who touched My clothes? Who touched Me? Somebody hath touched Me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of Me.” (Luke 8:43-46; Mark 5:27-30).

“And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about: a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.” (Ex. 28:33-34).

“A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses.” (Ex. 39:26).

The toxic death has a ready, prepared cure. But not by ancient or technologically advanced, carnal sorcery. Our chastisement of peace toxicity is cured by the everlasting gospel of being buried under 2500 fathoms of the curse from God’s scourging rebuke, and the purifying repentance and forgiveness that comes instantly through our contact with the hem of His High Priest, who will raise the dead from the deepest Marianas Trench.

“Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead.” (Col. 2:12).
