“Oh, the unspeakable greatness of that exchange,—the Sinless One is condemned, and he who is guilty goes free; the Blessing bears the curse, and the cursed is brought into blessing; the Life dies, and the dead live; the Glory is whelmed in darkness, and he who knew nothing but confusion of face is clothed with glory.”

The true trinity

There is a biblical Godhead— “I am in the Father and the Father in Me.”

And there is a biblical trinity.

To start with, “the Law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.” “As many as the Father give Me shall come unto Me.” “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden… and ye shall find rest.” “Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” (Jer. 6:16).  “As many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God… which were born…of God.”

Once justified and having peace with God, the deep well of water springing up into eternal life, then we must be sanctified. “Abide in Me and I in you.” “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you… herein is My Father glorified.” “I in them and Thou in Me.” “That they may be one in Us.” “That the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” “He that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit.”

“If you love Me keep My commandments and I will pray the Father and He will give you another Comforter… the Spirit of truth [God is a Spirit and cannot lie] that He may abide with you forever… If a man love Me he will keep My words and My Father will love Him, and We will come unto him and make Our abode with him.”

This is the only biblical trinity: the Father, the Son, and Their reconciled and redeemed children through the living word of God that is quickening and sharper than a two edge sword, dividing asunder the soul and spirit, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The one Spirit pervading all three.

If we will stand before the Law and see all of our deformities and feel the heat of God’s wise condemnation against our exceeding great sinfulness, so that we think we have committed the unpardonable sin and realize we need an exceeding great Saviour who lives and makes intercession for us, then and only then will we pray strongly enough to reach the ears of God. We receive the pardon that He has promised through His Son and share in their reconciled Spirit.

This is the only biblical trinity, which the world knows not. Peace with God “to him that is near and to him that is afar off” through our Lord Jesus Christ. But, “he that turneth his ear away from hearing the Law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” “The law is holy” and is given only by “the hand of a mediator”, the “holy men [and women] of God”, the prophets. And, Ellen White was one of them.

We should fear, if for any reason, we cut off her authoritative and convincing voice of truth. “He that receiveth you receiveth Me, and he that receiveth Me received Him that sent Me.” To everyone who turns away from the prophets and Jesus, the Lord says, “My soul shall have no pleasure in him.” And to the prophet Jesus said, “They have not rejected thee. They have rejected Me that I should not reign over them.” “It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that” person.

So, let us stand before the word of the despised prophets, especially the one for these last days—Ellen G. White—and be humbled into the dust. Then we will “receive the blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of our salvation.”

And His kiss of His holy Spirit He will breathe and blow to us.
